Fans can now relive the Ί ³ ³Ί live Priest experience through “Battle Cry”. Ί ³ ³Ί Recorded live on August, 1st 2015 at Germany’s Ί ³ ³Ί Wacken Festival in front of 85,000, the live Ί ³ ³Ί performance is available on 15 track audio CD as Ί ³ ³Ί well as DVD and Blu-Ray which both feature an Ί ³ ³Ί additional 3 tracks shot in Poland on December Ί ³ ³Ί 10th 2015. Ί ³ ³Ί Though not the first live concert performance Ί ³ ³Ί release from metal gods Judas Priest it is Ί ³ ³Ί however the first live release from the band to Ί ³ ³Ί cover material from practically every album Ί ³ ³Ί including “Redeemer of Souls”. Everything a Ί ³ ³Ί hardcore Priest fan could want is here and more! Ί ³ ³Ί From such classic tracks as “Metal Gods” and Ί ³ ³Ί “Victim of Changes” to newer tracks like “Battle Ί ³ ³Ί Cry” and “Redeemer of Souls”. You serious get a Ί ³ ³Ί little bit of everything with this release. One Ί ³ ³Ί track missing that I had hoped would make the Ί ³ ³Ί cut was that of the song “Love Bites” off of Ί ³ ³Ί “Defenders of the Faith”. The band performed Ί ³ ³Ί this song for the first time since 1986 during Ί ³ ³Ί the opening night of the “Redeemer of Souls” Ί ³ ³Ί tour in Rochester, NY and continued playing it Ί ³ ³Ί off and on throughout the tours run. Despite my Ί ³ ³Ί own personal favorite missing the stunning Ί ³ ³Ί visuals and immense crowd and staging made me Ί ³ ³Ί quickly forget about that one minor detail as Ί ³ ³Ί there was just so much to take in. The band made Ί ³ ³Ί a really great decision by selecting the Wacken Ί ³ ³Ί Festival as it is really proving to be one of if Ί ³ ³Ί not thee most premier heavy metal festival. Ί ³ ³Ί This release will make a great addition to any Ί ³ ³Ί metal fans collection especially if they were Ί ³ ³Ί able to catch one of the bands shows from this Ί ³ ³Ί tour. It would have been nice though if they Ί ³ ³Ί came packaged as a CD/DVD combo giving you both Ί ³ ³Ί an audio and video option all in one purchase. Ί ³ ³Ί It also would have been cool to include some Ί ³ ³Ί behind the scenes footage from the tour along Ί ³ ³Ί with the 3 additional tracks being the tour was Ί ³ ³Ί such a large undertaking for the band. Minus Ί ³ ³Ί those few small things and you have great live Ί ³ ³Ί release.
