Jedes Studioalbum erreichte nach dem Debüt Platz 1 der Schweizer Charts. Ihre Bekanntheit ist aber weitestgehend auf die Schweiz beschränkt geblieben. Gotthard wurden zu Beginn des Jahres 1991 im Tessin unter dem Namen Krak ins Leben gerufen. Nachdem sich der ehemalige Krokus-Bassist und Mentor Chris von Rohr der Band als Produzent und Co-Songwriter annahm, benannten sie sich in Gotthard um Gotthard sind die bisher national erfolgreichste Schweizer Rockband (international liegen Krokus weiterhin vorne) Weltweit über 2.000.000 verkaufte Alben, davon alleine 1.000.000 in der Schweiz, 11 Nummer-Eins-Alben (wikipedia.de) The platinum-selling band is practically a household name in Switzerland, and it looks like half the country (the attractive half anyway) turned out to see the band perform. It's the kind of arena rocking show you'd expect from Bon Jovi (Gotthard's American equivalent). The band is in top form, rocking their way through 17 of their most impressive melodic rock hits. The crowd energy is amazing, and the production values are incredibly high.
