Recorded on a 2" analog Otari MTR 90 tape machine with minimal processing and just vocal and solo overdubs, the Honky Tonk Heroes cranked out 11 songs (8 Colonel Josh originals and 3 covers) in 3 days under Don Zientara's zen like guidance. Don even broke out the 70's spring reverb unit to get that 50's mexican dance hall vocal effect on Vamos a la Playa!
