Born and raised in Dripping Springs, Texas, Michael began singing with his grandpa in church and at special events. With encouragement and support from his family, friends and a growing multitude of fans, Michael worked hard to grow as an artist and explore new and exciting areas of country music. With an awesome voice and great material, his name has becom familiar all across Texas. “Pedernales Summer” is a tribute to Michael's Texas stompin' grounds--the Pedernales River runs through the countryside not far from here. All of the 11 songs are firmly within the country genre, but there is a range of styles, from lively honky tonks to ballads. The broken-hearted "Waterproof" strikes me as a bit over the top, but real country fans might like it. "The Beer Song" sounds like it could be a hit. I know drinking, partying country types would get a kick out of it. Lots of good material for people who know how to country dance.
