Kobra and the Lotus wurde 2008 von Namensgeberin Kobra Paige sowie den Musikern Chris Swenson, Matt van Wezel (beide Gitarre), Ben Freud (E-Bass|Bass) und Griffin Kissack (Schlagzeug) gegründet. Paige verfügt über eine klassische Gesangsausbildung. Die Aufnahmen für ihr Debütalbum, Out of the Pit, begannen 2009. Evolution is just that for this under-rated Canadian metal band. Kobra's vocals, heavy guitars, and drums complete this modern metal attraction. Evo is a little more pop-oriented with some rock anthems for wider appeal. And, they are the most down-to-earth musicians They’ve scaled their way up from one of Canada’s most buzzed-about underground bands all the way to the top of the international riff Oylmpus!
