The band was formed in Luleå, Sweden during the summer of 2000 by Robert Stjärnström, Kahl Hellmer and Jonas Rörling. The name of the band had existed before this, but it was only a few months later the band decided on a specific style they wanted to pursue. Andreas Gerdin, a long-time friend of Rörling, joined on keyboards and Tobias Malm joined on drums. This band's songwriting abilities are extraordinary. They manage to write extremely catchy tunes and they keep the listener engaged throughout the entire album. Some people might say the majority of the songs are very similar to one another. Gaz has his very own way of spitting out the words. What he lacks in range, he makes up for with character. He has a pretty unique tone for being a power metal vocalist. I can't think of anyone I would say sounds similar to him. Speaking of the sound of the band, Machinae Supremacy has a generally light sound to them with elements of a lot of styles thrown in to make their signature sound. [color=#FF0000]1.
