Blues

Johnny Winter (* 23. Februar 1944 als John Dawson Winter III in Beaumont, Texas) ist ein einflussreicher amerikanischer Blues-Gitarrist, S�nger und Produzent.
Am fr�hen Morgen des 22. April 1979 trat Johnny Winter als Top-Act der 4. Rockpalast Nacht in der Essener Grugahalle auf. Dieser Auftritt machte ihn auf einen Schlag in Europa sehr bekannt. 1988 folgte die Aufnahme in die Blues Hall of Fame.
Die Blues-Legende Johnny Winter ist im Alter von 70 Jahren am 16.7.2014 gestorben. Der Gitarrist wurde in der Nacht auf Mittwoch den 16.7. tot in einem Hotelzimmer in Z�rich aufgefunden.

White, Hot and Blue is a 1978 album by Johnny Winter. Following on from the previous year's Nothin' but the Blues, it again focuses on blues music but moves back to Winter's traditional formula of mixing original tracks, of which there are three, with cover versions.
This is a blues-filled album, and it retains the glow of a comeback that may have been designed for Muddy Waters, but has spilled over to Johnny Winter, too. Playing in a Waters-like Chicago blues mode for the most part.
