In ihrer langen Laufbahn waren die Vibrators mit Iggy Pop, Ian Hunter, The Flaming Groovies, The Misfits und den Die Toten Hosen unterwegs und Bands wie The Exploited, UK Subs, GBH, R.E.M. und Die Toten Hosen coverten ihre Songs. Die Band Stiff Little Fingers benannte sich nach einem ihrer Songs vom Album Pure Mania. V2, the follow up to their classic LP, Pure Mania is an outstanding album in it's own right. V2 is much angrier than Pure Mania. Pure Mania really partied along with all those explosive hook laden classics. Still, V2 is one of my all-time favorites and not that far behind Pure Mania in my opinion. One of the best records of the time. Best songs include "Automatic Lover" and "Destroy", two absolute classics. The first two Vibes records are essential.
