Everyone who doubted whether Diana Ross could sustain a career outside the Supremes found out immediately that she would be a star. Diana's vocals are truly gorgeous, and she nails every performance. The songs are all strongly melodic and with plenty of variety, although they're usually upbeat with a good feel to them, which I appreciate. The backing musicians are really solid, including some brilliant harmonies, without ever taking the spotlight away from Diana.
