Zu Beginn der 80er Jahre hatte die Band Top-Ten-Hits wie Body Talk, Just an Illusion, Music 'n Lights und New Dimension. Sie gaben sich den Bandnamen "Imagination" in Anlehnung an John Lennons Hit "Imagine". Verschiedene DJs haben sich an den Hits der Gruppe versucht und herausgekommen ist fette Musik, die in die Hüften geht. Night Dubbing is the third album by British soul/dance group Imagination. None of these remixes qualify to be categorically filed under dub reggae, but tricks of the trade -- liberal use of echo and reverb, crazily accentuated snare-drum sounds -- often come into play. Some of these tracks work and some don't. "Flashback" deliberately toys with the tempo in a haphazard and untimely manner, whereas "Burnin' Up" plays games with the piano lines and moves odd sounds in and out in a delightfully warped way.
