Sie starteten als Handsworth Wood Boys School mit David Hinds (lead vocals, guitar), Basil Gabbidon (lead guitar, vocals) und Ronald McQueen (bass). Impressive reggae album that finds these guys from Birmingham, England in top form. The album covers topics such as environmental pollution, greenhouse effect, massive weapon dealing, and politics. References to massacres in Africa are also found (esp. the South African apartheid), as well as the assassination of important black leaders such as Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Stephen Biko. Among the highlights on the disc are: Global Warming, Bliss of Fire, There Must Be A Way, Make Us A Nation, Dem a Wolf, No More Weapons, Door Of No Return, George Jackson and the title track. Worth to mention is that the band is also accompanied by two well-esteemed artists in reggae music: Bounty Killer on �Bliss of Fire� and Damian �Jr. Gong� Marley on �No More Weapons�. If you are a reggae fan, this is a no-brainer; African Holocaust is certainly a huge reggae masterpiece that deserves a place in your reggae collection along with other Steel Pulse classics, such as Earth Crisis and True Democracy.
