Anders als bei den meisten damaligen Bands verfeinerten sie ihre Musik mit Soul, Funk und Disco. Dies wurde von Reggaepuristen heftig kritisiert. Bassist Richard Daley sagte dazu "we took roots reggae music and put branches on top of it". 2. Platte A roots classic everyone should own and place next to their Bob Marley classic. Inventive, poetic social commentary wrapped in a warm veil of tight bass lines, swinging drums, creative keyboard work and excellent studio engineering. The vocals are distinctive and another element that made this band very original i.e. lots of harmonies. 96 degrees the title track is a classic.
