Ihre Vorbilder waren die Stooges. Sie verbanden rohen Punk mit elektronischen Experimenten. 1983 trennten sich die Musiker, aber Damon behielt den Bandnamen und veröffentlichte mit verschiedenen Musikern Platten, bis er 1995 starb. Some ways this might be considered their attempt at a more "commercial" release. Eyes on Mars is like the spirit of Phil K. Dick glumly dictating some unintelligible urban myth through a series of metal tubes, accompanied by a jet fighter plane and an angry krautrock drummer. Electric Chair is like Russell Mael of Sparks snarling about getting high backed by a real glorious retro production job (it actually sounds more like a clever, but outsider recreation of the new wave sound). Isolation is frigid metallic dub with eurochic vocals, and the rest is red-grey bleak-eyed noise, which shatters into a multitude of robotic appanages doing their respective textural things upon closer inspection. This is Chrome goes nihilistic New Wave with an aural singularity which more than makes up for the mutedness of Creed's input.
