For a few years in the early 1970s they were renamed the Family Vibes, and released two albums under that name. After the disbanding of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue in 1976 Strange Fruit is an instrumental album by the Family Vibes. The album was released on United Artists Records in January 1972.[2] Led by Ike Turner, the Family Vibes, best known as the Kings of Rhythm, were the backing band for Ike & Tina Turner.
