Rock

Die einflussreiche britische Punk-Gruppe aus West- und S�dlondon, die zwischen 1976 und 1985 aktiv war. Sie f�gte ihrer Marke von Garage Rock 'n' Roll eing�ngige sloganistische gesellschaftspolitische Texte hinzu und erkundete bald weitere musikalische Horizonte als die meisten ihrer Zeitgenossen, einschlie�lich Reggae. Dub, Rockabilly, Hip Hop und Funk beeinflussen ihre Musik und vieles mehr.
2003 in die Rock'n'Roll-Hall of Fame aufgenommen (Performer), bestand ihre klassische Besetzung aus Joe Strummer (Gesang / Gitarre, geb. John Graham Mellor, 21. August 1952, Ankara, T�rkei, gest. 22. Dezember 2002, Broomfield, Somerset, England) ), Paul Simonon (Bass, geb. 15. Dezember 1955), Mick Jones (Gitarre, geb. 26. Juni 1955) und Nicky "Topper" Headon (Schlagzeug, geb. 30. Mai 1955).

Sandinista! is the fourth studio album by the English punk rock band the Clash. It crosses various genres including funk, reggae, jazz, gospel, rockabilly, folk, dub, rhythm and blues, calypso, disco, and rap. For the first time, the band's songs were credited to the Clash as a group, rather than to Joe Strummer and Mick Jones. Sandinista! is the lowest charting album for the Clash in their native United Kingdom. However, the album was influential in the punk rock movement with its experimental sound and was voted best album of the year in the Pazz & Jop critics poll in The Village Voice. In 2020 it was ranked number 323 on the Rolling Stone list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time"
