The personnel are Al Hudson (lead vocals), Kevin McCord (lead vocals & bass guitar), Cortez Harris (vocals & guitar), Jack Hall (piano), and Theodore Dudley, Jr. (drums). This eight-song collection is stuffed with ballads. Al Hudson sings in a gospel-inspired tenor that's more commonly heard on recordings produced below the Mason-Dixon line.Kevin McCord has one of the coolest falsettos in soul music; it's similar to the false voice of the late William Powell (O'Jays). The title track is an epic ballad that reveals Hudson's roots; "Tripped, Slipped, Stumbled and Fell" is a classic '60s love song that features Hudson, McCord, and Cortez Harris on vocals. The material could be stronger; still, it's well executed by the Detroiters. Spreading Love” and “Happy Feet” were originally released in 1978 & 1979, a heyday year for the quality of soul, disco and funk grooves on those albums.
