Gegründet 1968 von Russell Thompkins, Jr., Herb Murrell, Airrion Love, James Smith und James Dunn. Ihre Hits waren Balladen geprägt durch den Falsetto Gesang von Russell Thompkins, Jr. TOptenhits waren u.a. "Stop, Look, Listen", "You Are Everything", "Betcha by Golly, Wow", "People Make the World Go Round", "I'm Stone in Love with You", "Break Up to Make Up", und "You Make Me Feel Brand New". The production of Preston Glass is pristine, classic, and highly reminiscent of something the late, great Thom Bell (who also worked with likes of The Delfonics and James Ingram) may have done with The Stylistics during their peak years of commercial success. This is felt prevalent on songs like “I Once Had Love,” “Shoulder,” and “Have You Ever Been In Love.” However, in truth, the entire album oozes over with classic R&B vibes that shine bright. Elegant and first-class Philly songs and arrangements. Russell Thompkins' effortless falsetto never sounded better, and the same is true for Herb Murrell, and Aiiron Love, whose deeper register takes "Love Can Heal a Wounded Heart" to lofty heights.
