Funk


Mtume (ausgesprochen em-tu-may) war eine Funk und Soul Gruppe mit einigen kleineren Hits in den 80ern. Gründer James Mtume spielte mit Miles Davis in den 70ern. Andere Mitglieder waren Reggie Lucas und Tawatha Agee. Mtume hatten einen eigenen, basslastigen und schweren RnB-Musikstil, der auch heute noch modern klingt.



Every song is excellent but the best are in order: Body & Soul, BreathLess, POP Generation, Theme For the Theater of the Mind, Deep Freeze, I'd Rather Be with You and the others are good fillers.
All of MTUME from the 80s is must have.
