Kurt "Pyrolator" Dahlke. Spezialist f�r Musik und Computer. Mitbegr�nder des Schallplattenlabels und Musikverlages Ata Tak. Mitglied in den Gruppen "Fehlfarben", "Der Plan", "The Nights", "a certain frank" und solo als "pyrolator". Er produzierte mehr als 200 Schallplatten und CDs und war auf 100 Ver�ffentlichungen davon als Komponist, Musiker und Softwareprogrammierer t�tig. Seine Hauptinstrumente sind die vom Synthesizerpionier Donald Buchla gebauten Thunder & Lightning II, bei denen die Steuerung der Musik durch die Bewegung oder den Druck der H�nde geschieht.

Pyrolators erstes Solwerk, herausgebracht nachdem er die erste Version von D.A.F verlie�. 
Es fehlen gew�hnliche Musikstrukturen, sehr experimental, ein ungefilterter Fluss von Ger�uschen schafft eine klaustrophobische Atmosph�re. Pyrolator verwendete f�r seinen "Sound" Korg MS20, SQ10 sequencer, B20R home organ, Davolisint synthesizer, Logan string orchestra und eine Zweikanal Bandmaschine.

'Inland' has a more immediate, raw and scuzzy approach divining stranger and more surreal synth zones. The aesthetic is grey, urban and Industrial, shot through with a narcotic, machine-like psychedelia of ominous, paranoid quality with moments recalling say James Ferraro's 'Citrac' side or Demdike Stare's most recent diversions into decayed industrial atmospheres. Tracks are relatively brief and numerous. Fans of Lynch's Eraserhead soundtrack or dark, debilitating electro-sonics of any kind should really give this some attention.
